  • Position Overview

    Our Front of House Team Member is a multi-disciplinary role designed for a modern social house. Instead of traditional restaurant positions (server, host, bartender, etc), this role blends key responsibilities from each—prioritizing hospitality, cleanliness, crafted beverage execution, and guest experience.

    FOH team members set the tone for the guest journey: greeting guests, activating iPourIt tap cards, crafting cocktails, supporting self-serve technology, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and embodying the Los Nopales atmosphere of cozy, cultural connection.

    Key Responsibilities

    Guest Engagement & Experience

    • Welcome guests warmly and introduce the self-serve tap system.

    • Activate and manage iPourIt cards, assist with QR-code ordering, and answer questions about our menu and space.

    • Guide guests through craft beer, wine, and cocktail selections while upholding responsible serving practices.

    Craft Beverage Preparation

    • Prepare and serve Los Nopales craft cocktails, mocktails, and specialty beverages with consistency and precision.

    • Maintain cocktail station cleanliness, restock ingredients, and follow all beverage prep SOPs.

    • Ensure proper alcohol handling, recipe adherence, and presentation standards.

    Cleanliness & Ambience

    • Maintain a beautiful, clean, and inviting lounge environment—including tables, seating areas, front bar, and tap wall.

    • Conduct routine bathroom checks and cleaning as scheduled throughout the shift.

    • Support light bussing duties such as clearing tables, running dishes to the back, and restocking supplies.

    Cash Handling & Technology

    • Operate the POS system for guest check-ins, to-go sales, and cocktail orders.

    • Assist with QR-code ordering troubleshooting and ensure smooth guest use of self-serve features.

    • Handle cash, card payments, and close-out procedures accurately.

    Team Support

    • Work collaboratively with other FOH and BOH team members to maintain smooth operations.

    • Participate in daily opening, shift-change, and closing procedures.

    • Uphold Los Nopales standards of hospitality, culture, and cleanliness.

    Qualifications

    • Prior bartending experience is helpful but not required

    • Prior hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

    Required

    • Must obtain a valid Washington State Food Handler Card within 14 days of hire.

    • Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and willingness to learn back of house duties.

    • Comfortable standing for prolonged periods, lifting, and working in a fast-paced environment.

    • Must be 21 years or older

    Pay

    • $16.66-18.00/hr

    • Compensation varies depending on previous experience and qualifications.

    Back-of-House Team Members support the culinary and operational heartbeat of Los Nopales. This role blends traditional kitchen responsibilities—dishwashing, prep work, basic cooking, and daily cleaning tasks—into one flexible position that focuses on teamwork, consistency, and efficiency. You’ll help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment while preparing ingredients, following recipes, and assisting with the execution of our menu items. Your contribution keeps our kitchen running smoothly and ensures guests experience the quality and consistency that define our concept.

    Key Responsibilities

    Food Preparation & Cooking Support

    • Follow detailed recipes and instructions to prepare menu items with accuracy and consistency.

    • Portion, chop, and prep produce, proteins, sauces, and garnishes.

    • Assist with cooking tasks such as heating, assembling, or finishing dishes as directed by management.

    • Maintain proper food-handling, storage, labeling, and FIFO rotation at all times.

    • Communicate low inventory, prep needs, or quality concerns promptly.

    Dishwashing & Kitchen Cleanliness

    • Operate the dishwashing station to clean, sanitize, and store all dishes, cookware, utensils, and drinkware throughout each shift.

    • Maintain an orderly and hygienic BOH workspace, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and routine deep-clean tasks.

    • Empty trash as needed following health department standards.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Uphold all Yakima Health District food-safety guidelines, including temp logs, cross-contamination prevention, and sanitization procedures.

    • Follow proper use of chemicals, PPE, and equipment.

    • Ensure kitchen equipment (warmers, refrigerators, rethermalizers, etc.) is used safely and maintained properly.

    Teamwork & Communication

    • Work collaboratively with FOH and management to ensure smooth service.

    • Help restock ingredients, kitchen utensils and supplies, and cleaning supplies.

    • Support any additional kitchen tasks as business needs evolve—flexibility is key.

    Qualifications

    • Prior kitchen experience is helpful but not required.
